It is a checklist for all of the content that students need to know about the topic, in preparation for the assessment. They should use this as a working document, so they can track their learning and what the need to re-practice. It is a good tool to help students create any revision resources, i.e. mind-maps and cue cards etc. It is all on one PowerPoint slide for ease of understanding and layout. I created this resource, to be used as a starter, to allow students to get their brains warmed up, ready for learning. It is a PowerPoint, that contains thunks and questions that students need to think about to find an answer or solution to the question. They could also be used as a stretch and challenge activities or as a plenary at the end of the lesson. A good idea, would be to print these off and display them around your classroom - as this would help students to prepare for their learning and become and independent learner, by thinking outside of the box. The PPT contains 25+ thunks, each slide includes a thunk and an image to represent it. However, sometimes it can be difficult to find new creative ways, that students will find fun and engaging, making sure that they can understand key parts of the lesson and what has been learnt. But, also making sure that you know what they have learnt and what you need to help them with. Students can use this in independent, paired and grouped worked activities to assess their learning (AfL). I would display these around the classroom and have an A3 sheet on each student desk so that they can refer to it when completing tasks. Students should mainly use this to think more when completing tasks in lessons or even homework tasks at school or to wider their knowledge of specific topics. Hope this helps your students learning.
